I am writing for the last time in Slovakia before "My Year".

               Feelings right now
It is really strange because I did not realise that It has come so quickly. It is really happening right now !  I am looking forward but it´s hard to leave my family and all my friends and just go...
 I got an email today from my host family and they are awaiting for me, I liked the email and it was very helpful to me.
Keep your fingers crossed!

I hope I will not cry so much at the airport.

Okay, now I am ready to go at least on the paper side ... On the mental side it is worse I am gonna miss all "my people" but I hope I can hadle that at least because I am woman :D!

I got visas yeasterday. My papers were very good filled I am so happy. Also thanks belong to my finnish friend Jaakko too, he helped me a lot. Thank you Jaakko!(Hope you read this!)

Another very important thing is I do not have any dress so I have to go to Košice and buy one. (Big problem:))
I bought one pretty bag for travelling in Vienna SCS shopping city( sooo big for small human as I am ) . I soo loved the city! Beautiful...

The worst thing from the visa journey is I have overcooled my right leg so I have pain in it now. I hope I will get over that until departure.

I had an idea to find out something about the place where I am going to.

The Atherton Tableland is beautiful part of Australia. Lots of things can be found there as volcanic lakes, waterfalls. Also many kinds of birds live there as Sarus Crane or Bush Stone Curlew. Usual kinds of animals as wallabies, tree-kangaroo etc.

I found out some special attractions as      Curtain Fig Tree   Mount Hypipamee Crater  Lake Barrine ....
                                          

                         



Then I found out something maybe terrible for you but amazing for me ! It can be found in the near rainforests.

Atherton town is about over an hour from the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is not a single reef, but features more than 2900 individual reefs and 900 islands.
  

When I am watching this beauty on the pictures ...it is unbelievable that I will probably see that by my own eyes !

So I am writing again with more news!

This week was and still is very tiring, all papers needed for visa have come to me and I have had som much work since Monday. I was chasing suitable airticket. Finally yeasterday I found one. I am leaving 27.7. so I have 2 weeks until my departure. I will arrive to Cairns 29.7.

Another news is I know my first host family. I have a host mother and 2 host sisters(14y,16y). I am really looking forward to meet them !

I am still working on my visa papers. But it should be fitted out on Monday! Keep your finger crossed please!

Lots of work and stress but I must get through that! Just little time and I will be sitting in the plane heading to Australia !

At first I decided to provide my blog in English even though I am Slovak.

So Since today I start to write my blog. I hope you will enjoy reading about my experiences.
          Lets start at the beggining. Last year 2010 in October I was suggested to go study abroad for one year and I was able to choose from several countries. I had 3 countries choosen but I hoped that Australia would be the one where I would go. I still remember the feeling- the best ever! when I got an email with my future host country - Australia. Now it is 4 months since the email came and still cant believe that I am going to Australia. Actually the real traveling fever filled me up 2 days ago when I got to know my place to stay.



It´s Atherton!
Atherton is a town in the north part of the state Queensland "The Sunshine state". This town is surrounded by the rainforest and it is a little over an hour from the Great Barrier Reef - corals and lots of ocean animals live there. I will go to Atherton state high school where go around 960 students. This part of Australia is known as tourism part.



I still do not know my host family and the departure from Slovakia but I am expected to departure at the end of July. I am really really looking forward to this coming year of changes and unexpected things.
